We have been on our mission 5 months and have visited some wonderful sites. March 6, 2010 we left for the Preston England Temple for a Family History seminar. Five couples came from Scotland and the four couples from England. The couples from Scotland are imaging big books. The elders do all the imaging and the sisters prepare the documents and then run quality control on their images before sending them to Salt Lake. In the London Archives we all do imaging and we have a conservator to fix any documents that are torn or have mold on them. We really enjoyed our trip and we made some new friends. On our tip to Preston we visited the first chapel built in England and a pond where over 300 people were baptized. We also visited the Wedgwood Factory Stoke-on-Trent, England where I got to make a small pot. We attended the Preston Temple with all the senior missonaires and felt a great spirit there. We took a walking tour of Preston where the early missionaires of the church spent their time in preaching the gospel. We saw the apartment where our former Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley lived. On our trip back we visited William Shakespeare's birth place, Stafford-upon-Avon. It was a great trip to fill out cups of the spirit and rest our bodies.
I would love to visit England. So much to see.
